Supporting the Little Oaks Center for Neurodevelopment

This event is more than just a wrestling show; it is a mission to raise funds for Little Oaks, a newly established 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to uplifting neurodivergent children and the families who love them. Founded by Susan Globus, a mother of two neurodivergent boys, the center is designed to offer a cohesive, community-centered hub that addresses the isolation often experienced by families navigating disconnected systems.

Little Oaks is working to create NYC’s first comprehensive resource hub for neurodiverse children, focusing on formative ages for those with autism, ADHD, sensory processing challenges, and learning delays. It will be a place where families can access therapies, resources, and community support all under one roof.

Art, Experiences, and the Slam-Fest Kickoff

In addition to ticket sales and live donations during the stream, Orange Crush is organizing an exclusive art and experience sale to support the cause. As part of this initiative, Lee Moriarty—who is a celebrated artist in addition to being a top wrestler—will be releasing his first print edition in collaboration with EFA Robert Blackburn Printmaking Workshop.

The festivities begin early with the Superpower Slam-Fest & Kickoff Show from 5 PM to 7 PM, co-hosted by Batz! and Justin Whang. The main Superpower Slam event follows at 7 PM. This is a beautiful way for pro wrestling fansns and independent wrestling supporters to contribute to a genuinely worthy cause.

The Ultimate Collision: Matt Cardona vs. Mike Santana

This rivalry traces back to Mischief Night in October, where Matt Cardona outlasted Nic Nemeth, Matt Riddle, and the former champion Richard Holliday in a grueling four way match to capture the gold. Immediately after the win, Mike Santana made his presence felt by laying down the challenge, setting the stage for this high stakes encounter.

    Championship Stakes and Grudge Matches

The undercard is filled with title defenses and personal vendettas that have been building for months:

    • ACW Women’s Championship: Indi Hartwell defends her title against Shotzi Blackheart in a match that promises to be a highlight of the night.
    • ACW National Championship: Real1 (formerly known as Enzo Amore) puts his championship on the line against the challenger Zack Clayton.

Yesterday, November 18, 2025, marked a monumental day for El Paso, Texas, and WWE fans around the world. Shortly after the 20th anniversary of his passing (November 13, 2005), the El Paso City Council officially declared the date as Eddie Guerrero Day.

The atmosphere outside City Hall was nothing short of electric, capturing the essence of “Latino Heat” perfectly. Lowriders lined the 300 block of North Campbell Street, a nod to the iconic entrances that made Eddie Guerrero a household name on SmackDown!, while fans donned luchador masks and celebrated the man who put the Borderland on the wrestling map.

Family and Fans Unite for the Proclamation

The ceremony was a deeply personal affair for the Guerrero family. Eddie Guerrero’s daughters, Sherilyn Guerrero and Kaylie Mahoney Guerrero, were in attendance alongside his sisters and cousins to accept the proclamation.

Sherilyn Guerrero, who has been forging her own path in the industry at Booker T‘s Reality of Wrestling school, took the podium to speak on her father’s enduring presence. In an emotional moment captured on video, she addressed the packed chamber:

“Fortunately, I really do not think I can say the words if my dad was here because I’m looking at this crowd and he truly is. Being here today, I think we can say Eddie Guerrero is more than alive and he still lives on. And I hope that when you all think of Eddie Guerrero, you know and you think of how much he loved El Paso.”

You can watch her full moving speech at the ceremony here:

Following the event, Sherilyn Guerrero took to social media to share her gratitude and mark the historic occasion:

    The Legacy Continues

The proclamation is just one part of a larger movement to honor the WWE Hall of Famer. Council member Deanna Maldonado-Rocha spearheaded the effort, recognizing that Eddie Guerrero was more than just a wrestler; he was a symbol of representation for Latinos everywhere.

The influence of the Guerrero family remains a pillar of the local culture. Cinta de Oro, formerly known as Sin Cara in WWE, recently opened a lucha libre school in Segundo Barrio, continuing the tradition of technical mastery and storytelling that the Guerreros pioneered.

Adding to the excitement for the family, it was noted that Chavo Guerrero Jr. signed a new deal with WWE back in September, ensuring that the Guerrero name continues to have a presence on the global stage. From the murals in Lincoln Park to the chants of “Eddie! Eddie!” that still ring out in arenas today, the legacy of Eddie Guerrero is as vibrant as ever.

  • All Elite Politics: Zohran Mamdani Marked Out for Danielson vs. Omega on His Way to a Mayoral Win

Zohran Mamdani footage surfaced showing him enjoying himself in the cheap seats of an AEW show featuring Bryan Danielson, Kenny Omega, CM Punk
    Photo: Karamccurdy/WikiCommons

In a huge political victory, Zohran Mamdani is the new mayor of New York City. This groundbreaking win makes him the first Muslim mayor in the city’s history. But for wrestling fans, the celebration got even sweeter as videos surfaced confirming what we’ve always known: politicians are just like us! And some of them, it turns out, are massive wrestling fans.

In footage that has since gone viral, Mamdani is seen living his best life at the historic AEW Grand Slam at Arthur Ashe Stadium back in 2021. And no, he wasn’t in a fancy skybox. The future mayoral candidate was spotted in the cheap seats, proving he’s a man of the people in more ways than one.

    https://x.com/kxngao/status/1937699748154118359

The video captures Mamdani completely engrossed in the legendary dream match between “The American Dragon” Bryan Danielson and “The Best Bout Machine” Kenny Omega. This instant classic, which went to a 30-minute time-limit draw, is one of the most acclaimed matches in AEW history, and Mamdani was there for every second of it. As if that wasn’t enough, he was also seen rocking out and singing along to CM Punk’s iconic theme, “Cult of Personality” by Living Colour, a moment that has further endeared him to the wrestling community.

“My sister in law campaigned for Zohran years back, and then I met him at AEW Grand Slam and he was such a great guy. To now see him doing what he’s doing is truly wild. He’s genuine and real and wants to help NY sincerely. Vote for him.”

The wrestling world connections don’t stop there. In a fun coincidence, WWE superstar and fellow man of the people Sami Zayn gave Mamdani a shoutout while he was in New York City this past weekend. Zayn tweeted, “I’m in NYC where you at @ZohranKMamdani?” Never one to leave a fellow fan hanging, Mamdani replied a few hours later, telling Sami to check his DMs. While there’s no official word on whether the two managed to connect, the exchange lit up social media.

    https://x.com/ZohranKMamdani/status/1936557789104750645

Zohran Mamdani’s primary victory is a major political story, but for wrestling fans, it’s also a reminder that our community is everywhere, from the nosebleeds to the ballot box. A mayor who knows the pain and glory of a 30-minute draw is a mayor we can all get behind.

Yesterday was National Comic Book Day, and it was a blast to see so many wrestlers, both past and present, celebrating by sharing various comic strips of themselves. It’s always cool to see the crossover between two things I enjoy: wrestling and comics.

Wrestling Legends Share Their Comic Strips

A handful of wrestling legends took to social media to share their appearances in classic comic strips. Here’s a look at who posted:

“The Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase, the iconic WWE Hall of Famer, shared a strip showcasing his villainous character paying off a referee.

A Look Back at Wrestlers and Comics

The connection between wrestlers and comic books is nothing new. Back in 2017, WWE shared a video of their superstars discussing their love for comics.

    https://x.com/WWE/status/912361308732796933

    Wrestling’s Comic Book History

The relationship between professional wrestling and comic books goes back decades. In the early 1990s, Marvel Comics and World Championship Wrestling (WCW) teamed up for a short-lived comic book series. The series featured many of WCW’s top stars at the time, including Sting, Lex Luger, and Ron Simmons. While the series only lasted for 12 issues, it was a cool crossover for fans of both worlds.

    https://x.com/IANdrewDiceClay/status/1963004405331939514

In the late 1990s and early 2000s, Chaos! Comics produced a series of comics based on WWF superstars like The Undertaker, Mankind, and Stone Cold Steve Austin. These comics were known for their dark and edgy tone, which was a perfect fit for the Attitude Era.

In 2018, Aubrey Sitterson and Chris Moreno released a great piece of wrestling history with The Comic Book Story of Professional Wrestling.

More recently, All Elite Wrestling (AEW) has partnered with DC Comics for a series of crossover projects. This partnership has included variant covers for DC comics featuring AEW stars and an AEW Origins comic book that tells the stories of some of the company’s biggest names. It’s great to see the tradition of wrestling and comics crossing over continuing with the current generation of stars.

Bryan Danielson Recommends Old Wrestling Matches for Hardcore Fans

YouTube: SPORTbible / Chicago Film Archives

If you’re a hardcore wrestling fan and you want to know what Bryan Danielson nerds out on, the American Dragon has some awesome matches he suggests you watch.

Danielson is currently in Australia doing press for AEW Grand Slam Australia, which will take place in Sydney on Feb. 14, 2026. During an interview with The Amin Show, Danielson ended up going down a rabbit hole of classic wrestling.

“What I do for entertainment is I read and I watch wrestling,” Danielson said. “On the plane over here, I was watching old wrestling. I was watching old wrestling to show younger talent, ‘Hey, here’s some things that people used to do in wrestling. Here’s some intricacies that have been lost within the evolution of professional wrestling that you could use today that would work really well. That said, you watch Jerry Lawler versus Bill Dundee from 1985 and it’s still captivating here in 2025.

    [shopify type=”product” id=”8938136994016″ blogid=”1236″]

Danielson continued, “Access is so cool, right? When I was a teenager I would have to buy tapes for $10 a piece and I didn’t know what was good and what wasn’t. Now you have access to so much stuff, there’s no reason to watch something that’s horrible, right? Unless you get kicks out of seeing something really bad. [laughs]”

“You could go through the litany of great professional wrestling matches that we have on tape from from the 1950s until today and you would you would never run out of great matches to watch. We have Lou Thesz vs. Buddy Rogers on YouTube… just free for everybody.

Finally, Danielson recommends watching a wrestler who was running the roads 100 years ago.

“If you’re a hardcore wrestling fan, I highly suggest you go to Wrestling Playlist. They have matches from like 1908 and it might only be like 45 seconds, but it’s super cool. There’s a full Strangler Lewis match from the 1930s that’s not like 45 seconds, it’s like a real 10 minutes. You get to see, ‘What was 1930s wrestling like? Oh, it was like this?!’ It’s super cool. Syko Stu Released From Hospital Following Attack by Raja Jackson

    Facebook: Stuart Smith

Stuart Smith (aka Syko Stu) has been released from the hospital following a brutal shoot attack by Kick streamer Raja Jackson. Stu‘s family revealed the extent of the wrestler’s injuries, which include a facial fracture and lost teeth.

A backstage misunderstanding on August 23 between Stu and Jackson led to the in-ring assault. Stu, believing Jackson was a worker, crushed an empty can over the streamer’s head. Stu meant for the moment to be a bit of entertainment for Jackson‘s cameras, and Stu quickly apologized to Jackson after realizing his mistake.

Though the streamer (and son of MMA legend Rampage Jackson) accepted Stu‘s apology, Jackson later used a planned KnokX Pro run-in to take out his anger on the wrestler. Jackson would pick Stu up and slam him hard into the mat, rendering the veteran wrestler unconscious before punching him in the face at least 20 times. The moment went viral online, leading to an outpouring of support for Syko Stu.

Stu‘s family has now issued the following update:

Stuart has been released from the hospital and is now home resting. He sustained a serious head injury and was unconscious upon arrival at the ER. His injuries include trauma to both the upper and lower jaws, a laceration to his upper lip, and a fracture to the maxilla bone, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of several teeth.
He has a long road of recovery ahead, but he remains in good spirits despite everything he has been through.
We are deeply grateful for all the love and support we’ve received during this time. Thank you to everyone who has contributed in any way—whether through monetary donations, food, flowers, or gifts. Your kindness means more than words can express.

Enzo Amore Celebrates Big Cass’ Sobriety, Says He Was Drinking Like Andre the Giant

    Wikimedia Commons

Real1, formerly known as Enzo Amore in WWE, spoke about the long road his former tag team partner, Big Cass, took to recover from alcohol abuse.

In a new interview with Julian Dorey, Enzo compared Cass’ prior alcohol consumption to Andre the Giant. The famous story is that Andre once drank 117 beers in six hours, and according to Enzo, Cass wasn’t far off.

“I saw a guy try to kill himself in my tag team partner, Big Cass, with alcohol that you can’t imagine being consumed. I’m talking about Andre the Giant shit,” Enzo said.

“I’m doing an autograph signing in Chicago with Big Cass. The next day, I fly home. My phone’s ringing from his mom. She’s calling me, I answer. She goes, ‘Yeah, I share locations with Cass. I have his location. He hasn’t left Chicago.’ I’m like, ‘What? What the fuck do you mean? We just did a signing last night.’ He was supposed to be on a flight.’”

The former cruiserweight champion continued, “I call my homies in Chicago to go check on him at the hotel room. Dude, I’m FaceTiming him. Bro, there’s fucking two 30 racks between the time that I saw Cass at 10pm at night and this next morning. He’s cleared two 30 racks, three bottles of Jack, cases of wine… No human can drink this much except for fucking Andre the Giant and probably Big Cass. He’s 400 pounds, he’s out of shape, he’s trying to kill himself.”

    [shopify type=”product” id=”8938203119840″ blogid=”1236″]

Cass, who now wrestles as Big Bill in AEW, thankfully found his sobriety and was able to completely turn his life around.

Enzo said about the magnitude of Cass’ recovery, “He found an angel in his wife, Lexy. I didn’t think there was any coming back from this for him … He had a seizure and nearly died from an OD from alcohol. You can’t quit alcohol cold turkey. My man tried to quit cold turkey… seizured out.”

“What he’s managed to do since he left WWE is far greater than what you can achieve in a wrestling ring,” Enzo added. “He’s helps people, bro. People DM him and he answers. It’s heart wrenching.”

In related news, Jeff Hardy recently announced he was three years sober.

Real1 is scheduled to make an appearance at ACW’s Mischief Night on Oct. 18. Click here to grab tickets to the Poughkeepsie, NY show.

  • Danny McBride Unleashes ‘Don Gato’ on Major League Wrestling

Danny McBride Unleashes ‘Don Gato’ on Major League Wrestling

Danny McBride is teaming with Major League Wrestling
    photo: HBO

Danny McBride, the comedic genius behind some of television’s most iconic love-to-hate-him characters, is officially stepping into the world of professional wrestling, and he’s doing it in the most McBride way imaginable.

    The Righteous Showdown in Charleston

McBride is bringing his new tequila brand, Don Gato Tequila, to Major League Wrestling (MLW). He will be involved in the creative elements of the MLW x Don Gato: Lucha de los Muertos event on Thursday, November 20th, at the historic Charleston Music Hall in Charleston, South Carolina. This marks MLW‘s first-ever event in the city. For fans who can’t be there live, the action will be broadcast on beIN SPORTS and stream live worldwide on MLW‘s YouTube channel.

    Enter Don Gato

While McBride won’t be lacing up the boots himself, he’s set to unleash his tequila’s mysterious and iconic mascot, Don Gato, on the MLW faithful. This unique promotion sees an actor playing a character associated with his own liquor brand, a perfect blend of performance and promotion.

In a statement to Variety, McBride gave a classic explanation for the mascot’s appearance.

“Don Gato was reluctant to enter the ring after the injuries he sustained spear fishing in Cambodia this summer. But through my charm and constant nagging, I was able to get him on board. You’re welcome, Charleston. I am beyond psyched that he will bring his tequila and cool times to the MLW event here in the Holy City.”

The event is also being executive produced by actor Paul Walter Hauser, who is scheduled to compete. Also appearing on the card:

    • MLW World Heavyweight Champion Matt Riddle
    • Golden Globe and Emmy Award winner Paul Walter Hauser
    • Shotzi Blackheart
    • Mistico
    • Donovan Dijak
    • Bishop Dyer
    • Legendary luchador Blue Panther
    • Brock Anderson
    • Cesar Duran
    • Salina de la Renta
    • And many more!

A Lifelong Fan in the Ring

Anyone who has watched McBride‘s work knows his characters are practically built for the squared circle. From the arrogant, self-destructive Kenny Powers in Eastbound and Down to the bombastic Jesse Gemstone in The Righteous Gemstones, his creations are tailor-made heels. Who can forget that legendary scene in Eastbound and Down where Kenny Powers makes his grand entrance to “Real American,” the iconic theme of Hulk Hogan?

His love for the business is well-documented. In an interview with Paste Magazine, McBride discussed his fascination with the old Memphis wrestling territory. He highlighted the parallel in “showmanship” between a great wrestler and a televangelist, even quoting a character from The Righteous Gemstones to sum up the goal of both: “You never want to break kayfabe.” Now, he gets to live out a piece of that world, blurring the lines between fiction, reality, and high-proof agave spirits.

A new trailer has dropped for an upcoming documentary, Nevermore: The Raven Effect, focusing on the influential 90s wrestler, Raven, real name Scott Levy. Directed by Geordie Day, the film provides a glimpse into the complex and captivating persona of Raven, a character that left an indelible mark on professional wrestling.

Nevermore The Raven Effect documentary official poster
Nevermore The Raven Effect official poster

    New Raven Documentary Trailer Released

The trailer description sets the stage perfectly: “He was the alternative. The outcast. The anti-hero. This is the story of Raven.” This encapsulates why Raven resonated so deeply with many wrestling fans during the 90s. The documentary features an impressive lineup of wrestling personalities, including Chris Jericho, Billy Corgan, Rob Van Dam, Diamond Dallas Page, Bubba Ray Dudley, Tommy Dreamer, The Sandman, Perry Saturn, Kevin Sullivan, The Blue Meanie, Shane Douglas, Lodi, Brian Meyers, D’Lo Brown, Buff Bagwell, Sami Callihan, Moose, and Scott D’Amore.

    Here is the official description:

“Wrestling is such a brutal business. It doesn’t surprise people that it attracts sociopaths, fame whores, coke whores, and adrenaline junkies. But why did it attract an artist?” asks Billy Corgan, frontman of the Smashing Pumpkins and wrestling promoter. It’s the central question posed in Nevermore: The Raven Effect, a documentary exploring a pivotal shift in wrestling history through the eyes of Raven, a brilliant, self-destructive performer who helped shape the style and tone of the no-holds-barred ECW, the notoriously extreme promotion known for its bloody matches and use of real weapons.

After being fired from both WWE and WCW, Nevermore: The Raven Effect follows Raven’s entry into ECW, where he brought a darker, more rebellious energy that electrified fans and helped ignite the 1990s wrestling boom. The chaos in the ring was fueled by a backstage world of drugs, alcohol, and sex. From “slip-and-slide rhino orgies” to an adrenaline shot to the heart of The Sandman, who wrestled just hours later, the line between performance and reality was dangerously thin. The film shifts between Raven’s present-day reflections and his devil-may-care past, offering a wild ride marked by untimely deaths and the looming shadow of CTE. Interviews with legends like Chris Jericho, Tommy Dreamer, The Sandman, DDP, and Rob Van Dam provide an unfiltered window into the era.

Though hard-hitting, the documentary also captures moments of tenderness, pride, and nostalgia as Raven and his peers look back on what they built, despite the wreckage it left behind. Nevermore: The Raven Effect celebrates Raven’s legacy and the transformation of wrestling in the 1990s, while unflinchingly confronting the brutal cost of this high-stakes, high-drama world.

Directed by award-winning filmmaker Geordie Day (Tough Guy: The Bob Probert Story, Producer — Charles Manson: The Final Words).

    The Grunge-Inspired Anti-Hero

In an era often defined by larger-than-life, cartoonish heroes, Raven offered something different, something darker and more nuanced. He tapped into the burgeoning grunge culture, often sporting band t-shirts – a stark contrast to the brightly colored attire prevalent at the time – and famously used The Offspring‘s “Come Out and Play” as his entrance music, further solidifying his connection to the alternative scene. Raven‘s impact went far beyond his aesthetic. He was a master of psychology in the ring, utilizing mind games and intricate storylines that often blurred the lines between reality and fiction. His promos were captivating, filled with brooding intensity and philosophical undertones, setting him apart from his contemporaries.

    An Unconventional Path to Stardom

What makes Raven‘s career even more remarkable is the unusual path he took to becoming this iconic character. Before embodying the nihilistic Raven, Scott Levy worked behind the scenes for WWF in the early 90s, even gaining the trust of Vince McMahon at a young age to become a producer. This backstage experience undoubtedly informed his understanding of the wrestling business and likely contributed to the depth and layers of the Raven character. From his early days, including a run as Johnny Polo, to his more famous iterations in ECW, WCW, and later back in WWE and TNA, Raven consistently reinvented himself while maintaining the core elements that made him so compelling.

His contributions to hardcore wrestling in ECW were particularly significant, and his influence can still be seen in the darker, more character-driven storytelling of today’s wrestling landscape. The upcoming documentary promises to delve deeper into the fascinating journey of Scott Levy and the enduring legacy of Raven, a true original in the world of professional wrestling.

For those interested in seeing the film, premieres are scheduled in Boston on 8/23/25 and Chicago on 8/29/25 According to the distributor, there will be other select screenings throughout the fall before the doc arrives on digital.

Professional wrestling is known for its spectacle, and the French promotion Catch As Catch Can (CACC) recently added to that legacy. The company held its Sur L’Éau event on a floating ring positioned on the Canal de Saint-Quentin in Proville, France.

The entire show, including a full battle royal, took place on the aquatic platform. One of the participants, MBM, captured the spirit of the event by posting a clip online with the fun caption “PLOUF MANIA,” a nod to the French word for “splash.”

While a floating ring is a rare sight, CACC isn’t the first company to trade the canvas for the waves. History shows a few daring promotions have experimented with water-based matches.

As early as 1952, the iconic Gorgeous George grappled with Masked Marvel on a float at Seattle’s Aqua Theater. Japan’s infamous FMW (Frontier Martial-Arts Wrestling) promotion also held a battle royal where being eliminated meant taking a swim back to land.

Many fans will also remember WCW‘s Spring Break editions of WCW Nitro. These poolside shows created many memorable moments, none more famous than Kevin Nash powerbombing The Giant and then casually diving into the pool.

Events like Sur L’Éau continue a fun tradition of taking wrestling out of the arena and into unexpected environments, creating a unique viewing experience.

  • Jeff Hardy Celebrates Three Years of Sobriety

Jeff Hardy says he’s been sober for three full years. During he and brother Matt Hardy’s recent appearance on The Ariel Helwani Show, the Charismatic Enigma reflected on his personal “rock bottom” and how he’s managed to stay sober since 2022.

Hardy was arrested in June 2022 for driving under the influence of alcohol — his third DUI. The wrestler’s blood alcohol level was over three times the legal limit, leading to Hardy serving 38 days in a Florida county jail. He later submitted a written plea of no contest to various charges, resulting in Hardy receiving a suspended license for 10 years along with two years probation, court-mandated DUI school or drug rehab program, community service and more.

“Three years, two days,” Hardy told Helwani about his sobriety. “I went through a lot of treatment, almost a year’s worth of treatment … Rock bottom definitely for me would have been after the third DUI, in that [jail] cell, and not being able to wake myself up from a dream, because I’d had dreams about getting a third DUI. That was definitely rock bottom for me. I didn’t know what was gonna happen, man. I was so afraid that everything was… I was just not gonna make it. Yeah, in that cell right after that third DUI.”

“His work on himself has been second-to-none,” Matt Hardy added. “And just the place he’s at in his life, I’m just so proud and so happy for him. This is like the best version of Jeff Hardy personally I’ve ever seen that exists right now.”

Jeff Hardy credited treatment, ice baths and his family for keeping him strong during his three-year sobriety journey. The brothers also spoke of their desire to enter the WWE Hall of Fame one day, with Jeff hoping the honor could come in 2030.

In one of the more unique collaborations you’ll see this year, thrash metal legends Megadeth are celebrating the 40th anniversary of their groundbreaking debut album, Killing Is My Business… and Business Is Good!, by launching a new fightwear and streetwear collection with Brooklyn-based brand Half Sumo.

This isn’t just slapping a logo on a t-shirt. This partnership is deeply authentic, driven by frontman Dave Mustaine‘s lifelong dedication to martial arts. Mustaine holds black belts in Taekwondo and Ukidokan Karate, and a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, making the crossover from metal to the mat a natural one.

The Megadeth x Half Sumo capsule collection reimagines the album’s iconic mascot, Vic Rattlehead, through the lens of samurai lore and urban combat. The collection features a full range of premium apparel, from streetwear to high-performance gear built for the dojo.

“To see the raw energy of our first album translated into gear that’s built for the mat is a thrilling moment,” said Mustaine. “Half Sumo honored the spirit of Killing Is My Business… perfectly.”

The collection will be released in four limited, hand-numbered waves throughout the summer, with no restocks planned.

    • WAVE 1: THE STREETS (Available Now): The first drop includes premium streetwear like the “Katana Vic” Tee, the “Rattlehead Ronin” Hoodie, and “Mechanix” Tech Joggers.
    • WAVE 2: THE MATS (July 2025): This wave delivers high-performance fightwear, including a fully sublimated “Rattlehead” Nogi rashguard and shorts set designed for MMA and Jiu-Jitsu training.
    • WAVE 3: THE DOJO (August 2025): The centerpiece of the collection arrives with the “Chosen Ones” Custom Kimono, a master-crafted pearl weave gi featuring intricate embroidery and a custom-printed interior.
    • WAVE 4: THE ARSENAL (September 2025): The final drop includes a satin-lined “Looking Down the Cross” Bomber Jacket and a Vic Rattlehead Tactical Backpack, both constructed from the same durable kimono fabric.

This is a must-have for any die-hard Megadeth fan or martial arts practitioner looking for gear that is as aggressive and technically brilliant as the music that inspired it. The collection is available exclusively on the Half Sumo website.

  • Netflix Developing New Wrestling Drama Tuesday Night Titans

Netflix develops wrestling drama Tuesday Night Titans from ex-WWE writer Michael Notarile & Wicked director Jon M. Chu. Get the details on the new series.

According to a report from Deadline, Netflix is in the early stages of developing a new drama series set in the world of professional wrestling titled Tuesday Night Titans. The series comes from creator and writer Michael Notarile, who has direct experience writing for WWE. Acclaimed director Jon M. Chu is set to executive produce.

The series follows a tenacious writer who puts her career in a major wrestling promotion on the line to recruit her estranged childhood best friend, a “jobber” wrestler working on the independent circuit. The story will explore their entangled destinies as they contend with personal demons, ruthless colleagues, and their own complicated history. A central theme will be how “kayfabe,” the staged reality of wrestling, bleeds from the ring into every aspect of their lives.

The project is helmed by someone with an insider’s perspective. Creator Michael Notarile was previously a writer for WWE Monday Night RAW. His television credits also include work on the Fox series The Cleaning Lady and The Resident. He is also writing films for Netflix and Monarch Media and previously developed pilots with Amazon and NBC.

Executive producing alongside Notarile are Jon M. Chu and Caitlin Foito through Chu‘s Electric Somewhere production company. Chu is the director behind major films like Crazy Rich Asians, In the Heights, and the recent adaptation of Wicked.

The timing of the series’ development is notable, as it follows Netflix’s landmark deal to become the new home of WWE Monday Night RAW starting in 2025. While the show shares its name with a 1980s WWE talk show, the Deadline article specifies that this new project is not connected to the original. Netflix has declined to comment on the report.

This project enters a landscape where scripted series about professional wrestling have often struggled to find long-term mainstream success. The Starz drama Heels was canceled after two seasons despite critical acclaim. Netflix itself previously canceled the popular series GLOW before it could reach its planned conclusion. Similarly, the biographical comedy Young Rock, based on the life of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, ended its run on NBC after three seasons. The team behind Tuesday Night Titans will certainly hope to buck that trend.

  • Pro Wrestling Meets Shakespeare with New Performance of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”

William Shakespeare once wrote that all the world’s a stage. This Saturday in Nottingham, the stage becomes a wrestling ring. BBC reports Bardcore – Midsummer Mayhem premieres at Lakeside Arts Centre, fusing A Midsummer Night’s Dream with headlocks, hot tags, and a sprinkle of fairy dust.

Why Shakespeare and Wrestling Actually Belong Together

“Back in Shakespeare’s day, his theatre was very similar to what it’s like to go to a wrestling match today… everybody picking a side, rooting for the hero, booing the villains,” explains co‑director Ben Spiller of 1623 Theatre Company. Spiller and partner company Wrestling Resurgence cast professional actors and professional wrestlers, then rewrote the comedy so that Hermia’s forest escape collides with bodyslams under the midsummer moon.

Academic Prof Andy Kesson backs the concept: “It doesn’t feel like we’re bringing wrestling and Shakespeare together, but they were together all along, and we’re now learning what that looks like.” Kesson’s research into physical spectacle at Elizabethan playhouses uncovered everything from animal baiting to staged brawls. Wrestling, he argues, is just the modern continuation.

    https://www.instagram.com/p/DJuQ9iQiCsQ/

    Cast Highlights

    • Caroline Parker (Titania) – Deaf stage veteran who signs and wrestles using “a smidgen of magic.”
    • Dereiss Gordon (Lysander) – Professional wrestler counting down the days: “I love the big characters, the athleticism, the drama.”
    • Integrated BSL interpretation ensures the entire audience can follow the chaos in real time.

    An Experiment in Body Language

Spiller frames the one‑night‑only show as a laboratory: “We haven’t done anything like this before.” The idea is to hook wrestling fans who fear iambic pentameter and Shakespeare devotees who shrug at suplexes—then watch both groups cheer and boo in unison.

    A Growing UK Trend

Regular readers will recall the UK church that turned its nave into a squared circle for charity shows. Bardcore’s mash‑up continues the island’s unlikely love affair between robes and ring gear, proving that powerbombs pair nicely with pulpits and playhouses alike.

    If Shakespeare Wrote for WWE…

The Bard once slipped comic wrestling bits between tragedies—think As You Like It’s Charles the wrestler. Bardcore pushes that lineage to the limit, swapping grapplers for fairies and steel chairs for donkey heads.

The bell rings this Saturday. Puck might declare, “Lord, what fools these mortals be,” but even he has to admit the concept is pure midsummer magic.

  • Tommy Dreamer Gets Hall of Fame Nod in Poughkeepsie

The MJN Center in Poughkeepsie, NY, is diving headfirst into the wrestling nostalgia vault with the launch of its very own Wrestling Hall of Fame—a new initiative aimed at celebrating the legends, trailblazers, and unforgettable moments that unfolded in the building’s ring over the decades.

This isn’t just another hall of fame—this one is local, personal, and specific to the venue itself. For fans who grew up watching wrestling in the Hudson Valley, the MJN Center (formerly the Mid-Hudson Civic Center) has always been more than just a stop on the circuit. It’s where Andre the Giant, Hulk Hogan, and Roddy Piper made their presence felt. It’s where Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, and countless others connected with the crowd on a different level. It’s even where some wrestlers—like Matt Hardy and Orton—met their future wives. That’s the kind of strange, real-life lore that only venues like this can claim.

“Wrestling has always been part of the heartbeat of Poughkeepsie, and the MJN Center has been at the center of it since the ‘70s,” said Zeidan Nesheiwat, President of the MJN Center.

The Hall of Fame’s first inductee will be none other than Tommy Dreamer. Dreamer, a true hardcore icon and the heart and soul of ECW, has a long and deep connection to the Mid-Hudson Civic Center. From his early appearances with ECW to his work with WWE and Impact Wrestling, Dreamer has helped define multiple generations of hardcore wrestling.

“I’ve wrestled in every state in the U.S. and internationally, but Poughkeepsie has always been one of my favorite places,” Dreamer said. “Being inducted into this Hall of Fame is an honor—especially because it’s connected to a building that’s meant so much to my career.”

Dreamer will be inducted at a live ceremony will take place at Awesome Championship Wrestling’s Aftershock event on Saturday, May 17th.

“Creating a Hall of Fame here is about preserving that history and honoring the people who made it happen,” said Vik Dalishus, co-owner of ACW.

Following this inaugural year, the MJN Center plans to announce new inductees annually, ensuring that Poughkeepsie’s wrestling history continues to be celebrated for years to come.

Doors open at 5:30 PM on May 17, with bell time at 7:30 PM. Tickets are on sale now at thisisacw.com.

Wrestling is woven deep into the fabric of Poughkeepsie, and this new Hall of Fame finally gives that legacy a home worthy of its place in the story of professional wrestling.
