TNA has a new partner, and it comes with its own mascot. The promotion announced Thursday that it has teamed up with Dude Wipes, the male-focused hygiene brand, on what both sides are calling an “innovative” entertainment partnership, and it’s going a lot further than a logo on the apron.
Dude Wipes’ mascot, Deuce (a walking, sunglasses-wearing pack of wipes, arms and legs included), is being written into a custom TNA storyline. Per the press release, that means backstage segments, match walkouts, ringside appearances, and original digital content built around the character. Fans at TNA events will also get product sampling, a concourse activation, and contests and giveaways tied to the brand.
When Deuce Shows Up
TNA is easing into it. Deuce will make an appearance at Lockdown on August 23 in Chicago, the promotion’s first all-steel-cage pay-per-view since 2016, a show we covered here when it was announced. The full partnership, including the recurring digital series, officially kicks off at TNA‘s television taping in San Antonio on September 25.
TNA President Carlos Silva framed the deal as part of a bigger strategy. “This partnership reflects our continued commitment to developing creative sponsorship opportunities that go beyond traditional advertising, connecting brands with one of the most passionate fan bases in sports entertainment through immersive storytelling and memorable live experiences,” Silva said.
Dude Wipes co-founder Ryan Meegan sounded just as game for it. “When TNA said they wanted to put our mascot Deuce in the middle of the action, we didn’t need much convincing,” Meegan said. “Wrestling doesn’t take itself too seriously, and neither do we. This partnership gives us the chance to create genuinely entertaining moments for fans, both in the arena and online, while introducing Dude Wipes to a new audience.”
Not Dude Wipes’ First Time in Wrestling
This isn’t Dude Wipes’ first run in the business. The brand signed a multi-year deal with WWE back in February, one that included a visible presence at SummerSlam this year.
Between that deal and this new one, Dude Wipes now has a foothold in both major American promotions, which is either a coincidence or one of the more unlikely sponsorship success stories in wrestling. Either way, Deuce is officially part of the roster now.
