Nia Jax Just Revealed a 100+ Pound Transformation

Nia Jax has been off WWE television for most of the summer. Turns out she spent some of that time becoming her own best comeback tease.

An X account posted a side-by-side comparing an older WWE photo of Jax to a recent one, and it took off fast. Jax, whose real name is Lina Fanene, quote-tweeted it with a one-liner that out-joked the entire replies section.

Her Response Was Better Than the Photo

“Listen….i was having an allergic reaction and ive just now gotten it under control,” Jax wrote, playing along with a fan’s bee-sting joke in the replies with a simple “Exactly.” It’s the kind of deadpan response that’s made her one of the funnier follows in the entire WWE locker room, and it landed exactly as intended: the joke got almost as much attention as the transformation itself.

Jax had already posted the same photo in an Instagram carousel captioned “She’s bad,” and the real story behind it isn’t a secret. Earlier this year on Chris Van Vliet’s show, she said she was down more than 100 pounds across a journey that’s been roughly three years in the making, crediting consistent training and a disciplined approach to eating. She’s been open about the work throughout, treating it as something to be proud of rather than something to explain away, jokes aside.

Good Timing for a Return

Jax last wrestled on the May 29 episode of SmackDown, a singles loss to Chelsea Green that Tiffany Stratton had a hand in deciding. She and Lash Legend, WWE’s Irresistible Forces pairing, had already dropped the Women’s Tag Team Championship earlier in the year, and Jax was left out of the 2026 Queen of the Ring field entirely.

She hasn’t wrestled since that loss, but the timing of this new look lines up awfully well with two of WWE‘s biggest remaining summer dates: Saturday Night’s Main Event and SummerSlam. Nothing has been confirmed about a return, but if Jax is looking to make an entrance, she’s already picked the perfect week to get people talking.
