Cardi B just confirmed one of pro wrestling’s favorite crossover theories: her concert entrance really is a Batista tribute.
During her Little Miss Drama tour, Cardi B opens the show with a big pyro display, explosions timed like machine-gun fire while she mimes firing one right back at the crowd. On Instagram, she confirmed what fans were already spotting online: the whole sequence is built off Batista‘s entrance from his WWE run.
The Blueprint
Batista‘s entrance became a signature of the Ruthless Aggression era for a reason. He’d hit the stage, let the crowd’s noise build in near silence, then unleash his pose in sync with a wall of fireworks. Cardi adapted that same formula almost beat for beat, holding the pause before letting the pyro (and the first beat of her song) crash in.
It checks out with everything Cardi has said about wrestling before. She’s named Batista among her all-time wrestling GOATs, admitted to having a crush on him, and told Fightful he has the best pyro in the business (with Edge taking best entrance music).
Not Her First Time Walking With The Roster
This isn’t a one-off bit for Cardi. She served as the official host of SummerSlam 2025, and WWE previously teamed with her on a limited “Am I the Drama?” box set to promote her album. Between the box set, the hosting gig, and now an entrance built off one of the company’s most iconic walkouts, Cardi keeps proving her wrestling fandom shows up in the work, not just the interviews.
