WWE fans have had podcasts and pay-per-view audio streams scattered across a dozen apps for years. Starting this week, it all lives in one place.
The Announcement
WWE and SiriusXM announced WWE Radio, a new 24/7 channel that takes over SiriusXM channel 156 starting Monday, July 27, replacing the old Pro Wrestling Nation slot. The channel folds together live event audio, daily wrestling talk shows, and a stack of WWE’s own podcasts into a single destination, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
“The WWE Universe is always looking for new ways to engage with WWE, and our partnership with SiriusXM will deliver exclusive access, original programming and live event coverage that brings fans closer to the action wherever they are,” said Alex Varga, Executive Vice President at WWE.
SummerSlam Gets the First Live Call
The channel’s debut live broadcast lands right on time: WWE Radio will call SummerSlam in Minneapolis on Saturday, August 1, and Sunday, August 2, with Vic Joseph on play by play alongside WWE Hall of Famer Booker T. WWE Radio will also run live shows out of the Minneapolis Convention Center in the days before the show, with Dave LaGreca, Bully Ray, Mark Henry, Tommy Dreamer, Sam Roberts, and Peter Rosenberg hosting from the ground.
“We’re excited to bring the WWE Universe closer to all of the in-ring action at WWE’s biggest events on SiriusXM, beginning with wall-to-wall coverage of SummerSlam in Minnesota,” Booker T said.
What’s Already on the Dial
WWE Radio isn’t starting from scratch. The channel keeps SiriusXM’s long-running wrestling lineup intact, anchored by Busted Open with Dave LaGreca, Bully Ray, Mark Henry, and Nic Nemeth every weekday morning, plus Notsam Wrestling Live, Cheap Heat Live, The Hart Beat with Natalya, and Off the Ropes. Busted Open After Dark continues to run five nights a week for fans calling in after live shows.
The channel is also adding a 4 p.m. ET podcast block produced with Fanatics, including Cody Rhodes‘ What Do You Want to Talk About?, The Undertaker‘s Six Feet Under, Stephanie McMahon‘s What’s Your Story?, and WWE Now, Raw Recap with Sam Roberts and Megan Morant.
