Halloween came early to San Diego. WWE and Mattel used Comic-Con Preview Night to unveil a new horror-themed figure line, and the first two reveals are exactly as unhinged as they sound: Kane reimagined as Halloween‘s Michael Myers, and John Cena reimagined as The Invisible Man.
The Reveals
The new Kane figure leans into a connection that’s been there since day one. His original WWE gimmick, the masked, silent, unstoppable monster, was always read as a nod to Michael Myers, and this figure just makes it official with a full Halloween-style redesign.
Cena‘s figure takes the joke a different direction. His “You Can’t See Me” catchphrase gets a literal makeover as an Invisible Man homage, following the classic Universal look popularized by Claude Rains back in 1933.
Collectors on the WrestlingFigs forum quickly connected the dots: Universal also distributes the Blumhouse Halloween movies, which likely explains the licensing, and fans are already speculating about who’s next in the line. Andre the Giant as Frankenstein’s Monster and a slicked-back CM Punk as Dracula were the early fan favorites in the replies.

Ringside Collectibles shared the first photos from the reveal, and both figures are part of a bigger wave Mattel has planned around this year’s Comic-Con push.

The timing isn’t an accident. WWE‘s Mattel Reveals panel hits Room 6A today (Thursday, July 23) from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. PT, featuring Danhausen, Rey Mysterio, Sam Roberts, and the Mattel WWE Elite Squad. Expect more of the horror line, and probably a few more genuinely deranged crossover ideas, before the weekend’s out.
