Every so often a band and a wrestler find each other and it just makes sense. Motionless In White and Rhea Ripley have been that pairing for four years now, and they just gave fans another reason to cry about it.
The Confirmation
Motionless In White released their new album Decades on July 17, and one track immediately set off alarms in the wrestling corners of the internet. “Fight Like Hell” opens with Chris Motionless screaming “THIS IS MY BRUTALITY” and keeps stacking wrestling imagery from there, a ring bell among it. Fans didn’t need much time to connect the dots to the WWE Women’s Champion.
A few days later, Chris Motionless made it official, confirming on social media that the song was written for her.
“I don’t know how I haven’t seen this till now, but oh my god we love you so much Rhea!! Fight Like Hell is our tribute to you on behalf of everyone that has been given the gift of witnessing your brutality! No one deserves it like you do. Thank you for everything.”
This Isn’t the First Time
Rhea Ripley has called Motionless In White her favorite band, and the relationship goes back to 2022, when Chris Motionless lent his vocals to “Demon In Your Dreams,” the entrance theme she debuted after her heel turn into The Judgment Day. That collaboration hit a bigger stage at WrestleMania 40 in Philadelphia, when Motionless In White played her to the ring live in front of 72,000 fans at Lincoln Financial Field, with Chris Motionless handling her ring announcement himself before she went on to retain the title against Becky Lynch.
Ripley has said the moment meant as much to her as it looked. “I’m so glad and so happy and so privileged and so ecstatic that I got to share that with Motionless In White,” she said afterward. “That was a dream come true.” By her own account, she’s modeled a good chunk of her presentation on Chris Motionless and the band’s aesthetic, so the WrestleMania entrance wasn’t a one-off publicity moment, it was a fan getting to stand inside the music she grew up on.
Why Now
The timing adds a layer to it. Ripley revealed earlier this month that she’s dealing with a slight meniscus tear, so a brand-new song built entirely around her, dropped while she’s on the shelf, reads as much like encouragement as tribute. Whether “Fight Like Hell” ever becomes her actual WWE entrance music is still just fan speculation. But going by her reaction alone, that’s a rollout she’d welcome with open arms.
