Former WWE Superstar Braun Strowman says he’s in talks to become the next Jason Voorhees in a potential Friday the 13th revival.

The strongman-turned-wrestler, whose real name is Adam Scherr, caught up with Collider to promote his role in Deathgasm 2: Goremageddon. While talking about horror films, Scherr named Jason Voorhees as his number one slasher of all time while also claiming Voorhees as the horror villain he’d most like to play.

“There may be some talks about it with people that I know and my agency,” Scherr added. “If we could ever get everybody to get back on the same page and allow the things to work, I might be the next Voorhees.”

When asked if he’d consider shaving off his beard to become the masked horror icon, Scherr responded, “I would gladly shave this beard off to play that character.”

Along with his role in Deathgasm 2, Scherr will also star in the upcoming TV series Everything on the Menu With Braun Strowman. The series, which debuts Oct. 24 on USA Network, will follow Strowman as “he brings his superhuman appetite to America’s most delicious destinations, from the ultimate greasy-spoon favorites to the Michelin-starred temples of gastronomy and everything in-between.”

Deathgasm 2 premiered at Fantastic Fest earlier this month. The film will soon become available on streaming services.
