It was a wild night at Citi Field as the New York Mets hosted WWE Night, and things got chaotic right from the first pitch.
The evening started with Tiffany Stratton scheduled to throw out the ceremonial first pitch, a redemption from her botched previous attempt. However, she was quickly interrupted by Nia Jax, leading to a heated confrontation on the mound. The two WWE Superstars got into a shoving match that had to be broken up by Mr. Met and Mrs. Met. In a fantastic tribute, Mr. Met was decked out in full “Macho Man” Randy Savage cosplay, with Mrs. Met perfectly playing the part of his manager, Miss Elizabeth.

The WWE theme continued throughout the game. As Mets players walked up to the plate, the stadium’s big screen showed them reimagined as wrestling superstars, with their heads photoshopped onto the muscular bodies of famous wrestlers.

The chaos didn’t end with the opening pitch. Tiffany Stratton made her presence felt again during the seventh-inning stretch, interrupting the traditional mascot race between the boroughs.

Her night wasn’t over yet. In a surprise turn of events, Stratton faced off against Nia Jax one more time and defeated her to become the first-ever Citi Field Champion.
