Last night at AEW Dynasty, “Speedball” Mike Bailey made a memorable impression during the AEW International Championship match against Kenny Omega and Ricochet. In a standout moment, Bailey, favoring an injured left knee, assumed the iconic “Crane Kick” stance from The Karate Kid and delivered a precise kick to Ricochet’s face.
This homage to the classic 1984 film was a highlight of the match, though Omega ultimately retained his title.

In another cool moment, Bailey made sure to stop Ricochet from talking too much.

Bailey’s attire also paid tribute to the character Frog from the beloved video game Chrono Trigger. His entrance gear mirrored Frog’s distinctive look, delighting fans who recognized the reference.

For those unfamiliar with Bailey, the Canadian black belt in tae kwon do has built a reputation for blending high-flying maneuvers with striking precision. After a successful tenure in TNA Wrestling, where he became a three-time X Division Champion, Bailey recently signed a multi-year contract with AEW.
His debut match on the March 12 episode of Dynamite, saw him get a win over The Beast Mortos in the AEW International Championship eliminator tournament. Both Ricochet and Omega put Bailey over big time, and hopefully he’ll be prominently featured on AEW television.
