WWE rumored to bring WrestleMania 45 Back to New Orleans

New Orleans has been waiting on a WWE promise since WrestleMania 42 got pulled out from under it. That wait might be close to over.

Fightful reports that WWE and the city of New Orleans have placed a hold on the Caesars Superdome for spring 2029, an early but strong signal that the building is lining up to host WrestleMania 45.

The City WWE Owes One

The Superdome was originally floated as the host site for WrestleMania 42, before WWE instead sent the show back to Las Vegas for a second straight year. New Orleans was told a future WrestleMania would make up for it, and the Superdome has the pedigree to back up the ask: it already hosted WrestleMania 30 and WrestleMania 34, and it remains one of the biggest indoor venues in the country for an event built around maximizing gate and production space.

In the meantime, New Orleans is getting a smaller make-good. Money in the Bank 2026 lands at the Smoothie King Center this Saturday, October 10, headlined by Roman Reigns defending the World Heavyweight Championship against LA Knight, alongside both men’s and women’s Money in the Bank ladder matches.

Where That Leaves the Rest of the WrestleMania Map

A Superdome hold for 2029 is still a step below an announcement, and WWE has exactly one future WrestleMania site locked and confirmed: WrestleMania 43, set for Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in April 2027, the promotion’s first ever held outside North America. Beyond that, it’s rumor and leverage. Nashville has been the name attached to WrestleMania 44, and Indianapolis is still owed a future date under a separate deal with WWE.

If New Orleans is getting WrestleMania 45, it would close out a long-running IOU between the city and WWE, and give the Superdome a third WrestleMania to its name. Nothing is official yet, but a building doesn’t get held for a specific weekend three years out by accident.
