Damian Priest has a side gig now, and it involves stabbing Apocalypse in the back.
The WWE Tag Team Champion confirmed he’s voicing The Hood in Marvel Rivals, quote-tweeting the Season 9 trailer with the character’s own line: “No one beats The Hood.”
Who Is The Hood?
The Hood, real name Parker Robbins, is a Marvel street-level villain who draws his powers from a stolen demonic cloak and a pair of enchanted boots. In the Marvel Rivals Season 9 trailer, “The Mystery of Thebes,” he stabs Apocalypse from behind and delivers that same line in Priest‘s voice.
Playable Next Month
Season 9 itself launched July 10, sending the Marvel Rivals roster into an Egyptian-themed murder mystery. The Hood becomes a fully playable character when Season 9.5 arrives on August 7, giving Priest a few weeks as the character’s voice before players actually get their hands on him.
It’s another line on a growing resume outside the ring for Priest, who’s also hosted Slayer‘s only U.S. headlining show of 2025 and spoken openly about how much he thinks celebrity crossovers help wrestling. Add “Marvel villain” to the list.
