When Wrestlers Fight Fans

YouTube: Title Match Wrestling

“When someone crosses those rails, when someone comes between those ropes, you’re considered fair game.” — Stone Cold Steve Austin.

Fans should never interfere in a wrestling match. Ninety-nine out of 100 times, fans get their asses kicked when they come into the ring or get too aggressive with a performer out in the crowd.

Back in the Attitude Era, a fan made the poor decision to get in the ring with Steve Austin and Triple H. As a babyface, Stone Cold couldn’t put hands on the fan, but as a heel, Triple H was free to wallop the dude.

Triple H is a stand up cat,” Austin later recalled. “He picked that dude up, slammed him and started punching his lights out. He’s yelling to the security guard, ‘Get your ass in here!’ And the security guard didn’t know where to shit or wind his watch. Triple H was watching my back and he beat the snot out of that guy.”

One instance where a fan actually beat up a wrestler happened at an indie show. Wrestler Devin Danger spat gum at a fan’s daughter, which set her father off. Watch him jump from his seat and attack Danger in the compilation below.
