Seth Rollins, Becky Lynch, and Cody Rhodes Turn Out for The Rock’s Moana Premiere

Disney’s live-action Moana hit theaters on July 10, and the night before it did, The Rock brought some familiar company to the premiere. A good chunk of the current WWE roster showed up to support their friend, and the photos from the blue carpet are worth a look.

Seth Rollins, Becky Lynch, and their daughter Roux joined Alexa Bliss (with husband Ryan Cabrera and daughter Hendrix) and Cody Rhodes at the Los Angeles premiere, all there to see Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson reprise his role as Maui in the live-action retelling of the 2016 animated hit.

“ROUX SAYS IT”

Lynch posted about the night on her way out the door. “THE MAN (and her wonderful family) AND MOANA! We’re big Moana fans in this house and can tell you this movie is amazing. And it’s not just ME saying it, ROUX SAYS IT!!!”

The turnout makes sense given the history in the room. Rhodes and Rollins have both wrestled The Rock, teaming up two years ago at WrestleMania 40 to face Rock and Roman Reigns. Premiere night brought two old rivals back together on considerably friendlier terms.

The Rock Keeps One Boot in Wrestling

It’s the latest reminder that The Rock, even while headlining a Disney tentpole, keeps close with the WWE locker room. He’s been doing the same in interviews promoting the film, telling Complex that Rollins‘ Stomp is his favorite finisher in wrestling today, a nod to the beating he took from it at WrestleMania 40.

Between the premiere turnout and the press-run shoutouts, The Rock is proving he can carry a blockbuster and still make time to show up for the people he came up with.
