John Cena‘s renewed babyface run is warming the hearts of every wrestling fan. With the WWE returning to Europe for the first time since Cena‘s face turn, the 17-time world champion took the opportunity to apologize to the young fan he ruthlessly martyred back in March.

On March 17 in Brussels, Belgium, Cena cut a scathing promo on the WWE Universe. It culminated when Cena pointed out a young fan and said, “Everybody, including that one kid right there, is a toxic, dysfunctional relationship.” The camera cut to a young boy in a John Cena shirt and hat, who looked heartbroken that his hero just bodied him on live TV.

It must have been a tough night for the youngster, but he got his idol back on August 29. As Cena cut a promo on Logan Paul‘s lack of respect for the WWE Universe, he shined the limelight on the kid from Brussels.

“I’m gonna show you what respect and our family is,” Cena said. “Where’s my boy at? Yeah, right there. Respect in our family is when you’re having a bad day and you say some stuff that’s hurtful to a person, they know you’re just having a bad day and they give you a pass because it’s all love and it’s all good. And respect, Logan Paul, respect is the ability for the next time you see that person is to say, ‘I’m sorry, I was having a bad day and thank you for being there for me when I most needed you.’”

The crowd popped as Cena put him arm around the young fan. “Hey, I’m sorry,” Cena said. “I was having a bad day, thank you so much for being there for me when I needed you most. I love you too.”

To put an extra bow on this most wholesome encounter, WWE caught up with the young fan outside the arena before the show began. With a WWE mic in his face, the kid got to cut his own promo.

“Thank you John Cena for all, because you are the GOAT of the GOATs,” he said. “Thank you.”

John Cena‘s final match in WWE will take place December 13 at Saturday Night’s Main Event. Out of camera, Cena has proved to be quite the coffee connoisseur. Also, he recently went public with how his hair transplant “completely changed” his life.
