Aron Stevens (FKA Damien Sandow in WWE) has nothing but great things to say about NWA President Billy Corgan. In a new interview, Stevens calls the Smashing Pumpkins frontman “the coolest boss I’ve ever had.”
Stevens recently sat down with A2D Radio to talk about his stint in NWA as a wrestler and manager. When asked about working with Corgan, Stevens said, “He is the coolest boss I’ve ever had because he understands me and he allows me the freedom to operate as necessary.”
He continued, “I’m a manager on-screen, but behind the scenes I couldn’t even tell you what I do. My hands are in a bunch of different places and we just all try to make it work. The word ‘family’… it gets used a lot in wrestling. NWA is truly family because we have had each other’s backs when there was no other choice.”

The NWA mainstay also spoke about the connection he has with Corgan when it comes to spotting talent.
“In Exodus Pro — EC3‘s promotion — me, EC3 and Billy were there evaluating talent and saw about 30 promos. I just wanted to go home and go to sleep, but [The Slime Ballz] walk up there and for about five seconds you just saw ‘it.’ I remember I perked up and Billy perked up, and we looked at each other. So I go over to Billy and I’m like, ‘Alright, let me talk to them and see if they’re idiots or not.’”
