Kurt Angle‘s run in TNA was absolutely legendary, but many WWE fans didn’t get to see ‘Peak Angle‘ in real time. In a new interview, Angle spoke about WWE eventually buying the TNA library and what it would mean to have Angle‘s classic TNA matches available on WWE programming.

Between 2006-2016, the Olympic gold medalist had some of the best feuds of his career, with performers like AJ Styles and Mr. Anderson. Angle earned his reputation as the Wrestling Machine during that era, and now that the “forbidden door” between WWE and TNA has been open for several years, Angle sees big things coming.

“I never thought in a million years WWE would ever partner up with TNA,” Angle told Mic Check with Mr. Anderson. “The reason why I love it? I know eventually the WWE is gonna buy the TNA library and the WWE will now own all the Kurt Angle footage in TNA. The WWE fans are gonna be able to have access to it.”

“I’m gonna tell you right now, I had a much better career in TNA than I did WWE. I was there a lot longer too, so most of my career was in TNA and the WWE fans didn’t see me. So now, I have the opportunity of having the fans being able to see me compete in TNA and perform. I know it’s going to happen eventually.”

Angle continued, “I took a lot of pride in wrestling for TNA. They gave us our freedom to do what we wanted. We had to stick with the script, of the idea of what they wanted, but we were able to structure our promos. They were also allowing us to structure our matches. We didn’t have a lot of agents that would structure the matches for us like they do in WWE. In WWE, you can put your own two cents in, but they’re gonna come up with the finish and they’re gonna come up with how you do it. In TNA, you get full freedom to do whatever you want to do.”
